Roles and Responsibilities:
With a high level of independence and minimum supervision, the Software Engineer – Azure Data Engineer will be responsible for the following job duties:
1. Design and build highly scalable data pipelines for near real-time and batch data ingestion, processing, and data integration.
2. Coordinate the creation and documentation of ETL pipeline testing to meet customer needs for reporting, BI solutions, and Data Science.
3. Mentor and advocate to ensure the successful adoption of new tools, processes, and best practices across the organization.
4. Recognize potential issues and risks during the project implementation and suggest mitigation strategies.
5. Communicate and own the process of manipulating and merging large datasets.
6. Serve as a key point of contact between the API teams and the project/ functional leads.
7. Work directly with business leaders to understand data requirements.
8. Propose and develop solutions that enable effective decision-making and drive business objectives.
9. Prepare advanced project implementation plans which highlight major milestones and deliverables, leveraging standard methods and work planning tools.
10. Participate in the preparation of high-quality project deliverables that are valued by the business and present them in such a manner that they are easily understood by project stakeholders.
This position allows for telecommuting.

This position requires a U.S. bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent in CS, CE, EE, or closely related field, and four (4) years, experience as a SW Engr, Consultant, or related occupation.

Salary: $215,500 – $220,000 per year; Full Time
